The Sefirot, also known as the Tree of Life, is a Kabbalistic set of tools that help us to achieve cognitive and behavioral change as well as deepen our spiritual understanding of the world. This allows us to improve ourselves, our connection with others, and with G-d. It was developed and taught by Rabbi Yitzchak Luria, the Ari in the 16th century. My interest in the Sefirot began when I was five years old, sitting in the classes of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. My soul felt the truth of Shlomo’s teachings. My interest deepened as I aged.

For twenty-five years I listened to Shlomo Carlebach’s teachings about the Sefirot. After listening to thousands of hours of recordings of his classes, I thought to myself since Shlomo’s teachings had changed my life, why not give this gift to the entire world?

The book is written in a straightforward and effortless way. Therefore, this book can even be shared at the family dinner table. It has touching stories that can even be told to little children allowing them to integrate spiritual concepts as well as developing a spiritual way of experiencing the world from an early age.

Usually, the teachings of Kabbalah are given over in an extremely complicated way. Reb Shlomo, however, knows how to give over those complex concepts in a simple and heartfelt way.
